Hallowe’en and Grandchildren

Just to finish up on Hallowe’en I wanted to post a picture of my 4 year old grandaughter Madeline – The Queen of Hearts.  I wasn’t trick or treating with her this year but it sounds like it was another magical moment for her.

And so I’ll put Hallowe’en to rest for this season.  I’ve so enjoyed looking at your pics of Hallowe’en.  It seems to have been a fun time again for young and old.  I was thinking of all the different costumes I wore when I was small.  I think they were costumes my mom and I seemed to come up with.  I don’t think we ever did purchase any.  Maybe things were a little different then.  It was lots of fun though.

On to the next season….  have a lovely day.  Judi

Thanksgiving and Hallowe’en Oneliners

Its Friday again and I hope you’ve had a great week.  This weekend is our Thanksgiving and we’re having turkey dinner at my place.  There will be 10 of us which will includes my brother and his girlfriend who are here from British Columbia.  We haven’t all gotten together with him here for Thanksgiving, or Christmas in years so it’ll be special.

I’ve made some pine cone turkey name place holders but because things have been busy I can’t share them with you right now.  I should have some pics for you by the end of the weekend.  They are cute though.

In the meantime here are some corney little Hallowe’en one-liners….you might want to share with your children and/or grandchildren.  Have a lovely weekend.   Judi

Hallowe’en Night – Madeline’s Delight!

The Fairy Princess

Madeline said she was going to a “flying princess” at Hallowe’en.  She knew it didn’t sound “quite” right and we tried not to chuckle, well she did catch us doing that.   We told her she was a “fairy princess”.   She is loving fairies…Snow White…Sleeping Beauty…Cinderella all those pretty characters.  She herself was so cute.  She was 3 this summer and this really was her “first” year of understanding the whole concept.  Madeline practised at home and at preschool the little ones went through the whole scenerio of Hallowe’en.  She was a beautiful Princess and so well mannered.   As she trapsed up to the doors she uttered “Trick or Treat” and thanked everyone and over her shoulder would call “Happy Hallowe’en”.

Sparkly Smile
